Engr. George C. Okoroma FNSE, FNICE, JP Confirmed as President-Elect of FIDIC Africa

The Association for Consulting Engineering in Nigeria (ACEN) proudly announces that Engr. George Chukwulewa Okoroma, FNSE, FNICE, JP, has been officially confirmed as the President-Elect of FIDIC Africa.

His confirmation took place during the FIDIC Africa General Assembly Meeting held on 14th May 2025, following his earlier election as Deputy President at the 2024 FIDIC Africa Conference in Tanzania. Engr. Okoroma is set to formally assume the presidency in 2026 during the FIDIC Africa Conference scheduled to hold in Ghana.

About Engr. George C. Okoroma, FNSE, FNICE, JP:
A distinguished civil engineer and business leader, Engr. Okoroma brings over four decades of experience in engineering and infrastructure development. He holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France, and an M.Sc. in Project Management from the University of Roehampton, UK.

He is the Founder and Group Managing Director of Gambeta Groupe Limited, a Port Harcourt-based conglomerate with interests in engineering consultancy, oil and gas, logistics, real estate, ICT, and hospitality. He is also the Principal Partner at GAPEC Consultants Limited, a renowned engineering consultancy committed to delivering value-driven solutions across Nigeria.

Engr. George C. Okoroma served as the 18th President of ACEN (2020–2021), where he championed the advancement of local consulting engineering firms and upheld standards of excellence. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE), and a Justice of the Peace (JP).
