‘The Consulting Engineer’ (TCE) magazine was first published in 2008. It is a triannual professional magazine that disseminates information about consulting engineering and its contribution to the infrastructural, technological, and economic development of Nigeria. The magazine recognizes and celebrates the consulting engineering expertise of ACEN member firms, engineers, on the whole, and other stakeholders in the built environment and their contributions to the Nigerian society. It covers news, events, noteworthy projects, and opinions in the various engineering disciplines.

Objectives:

1. Serve as a tool to voice consulting engineering positions on engineering issues.
2. Promote education and capacity building of Nigerian engineers and other stakeholders in the built environment.
3. Promote ACEN’s visibility as well as project and propagate her brand, efforts, and contributions to drive the highest level of technical competence and business ethics in consulting engineering practice in Nigeria.
4. Serve as a means to promote public relations and partnership building for the Association.

‘The Consulting Engineer’ was repositioned in 2017 and is fast becoming a household name in the Engineering industry.

It is distributed in hard copies across Nigeria to ACEN member firms and other relevant stakeholders such as Government MDAs, blue chip companies, oil and gas companies, professional engineering bodies, Organized Private Sector (MAN, NACCIMA) and tertiary institutions. It is also widely read across Africa as it is shared with African Member Associations of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, (FIDIC), the voice of consulting engineering all over the world, a member of which is ACEN.
